Another failed bill

An Anne Arundel County councilman tried to class up Glen Burnie.

In an attempt to squash what seems to be the lifeblood of the community, the legislation would have banned the following businesses from operating in the Glen Burnie Town Center:

  • Arcades
  • Billiard and pool halls
  • Tattoo parlors
  • Body piercing salons
  • Psychic, tarot card, and fortune-telling shops

What’s left to the place? It’s like taking the culture out of a cultural center.

Thankfully this bill was abandoned because of opposition from current business owners, and Glen Burnie will keep on keepin’ on.
