The controversial “Grand Theft Auto IV” will be released on midnight this Tuesday. Same violence, same anticipated high sales.
Since its debut in 1997, there has been mixed feelings surrounding this game; whether or not it glamorizes extreme violence and influences young players to imitate what they see. Some say that it’s just a game.

I think it is fine. It is for adults. I have seen people get carded all the time at the Gamestop franchise in the mall when buying a "T" or "M" rated game. Your local Barnes and Noble is full of books with far more violent, sexist and racist content and no one is talking about shutting them down or banning books. The idea that everyone ought to be denied something because someone's delicate snowflake might pull a Columbine after playing a video game is ridiculous. Personally I cannot wait to play it.

HELL YEAH I'm buying this game, tonight at midnight!
GTA as a franchise rivals all others, including Mario Bros. and Halo at this point. To simply call it a game doesn't really do it justice anymore, it's a phenomenon. It has spurned more critics, fanatics and imitations than any other in the past 10 years, and this current iteration is truly taking it to the next level.
