Hillary’s last stand

Our neighbors to the north may be deciding the Democratic presidential candidate today.

Pennsylvania — the most populated and delegated contest remaining before the nomination — began casting their ballots at 7 am. Four million Democrats are eligible to vote in the state, with 158 delegates up for grabs.

Pennsylvania is full of voters who are working-class, white, and older than 50 — Hillary’s key demographic. Despite this, her lead in Pennsylvania has shrunk from 20+ points to single digits over the past months. A win today can keep her in the running, while a win for Obama may ensure his nomination.

Even if Clinton wins as predicted tonight in Pennsylvania, should she keep fighting till the end? Or, since at this moment she may not be the Democratic nominee no matter what happens, should she just bow out gracefully? Tell us what you think.

    What?

  2. Tom, tell us what you think -- other than my need to proof before I post.

  3. LOLOLOL Obama's middle name is actually Hussein

  4. My understanding is that at this point either candidate has to get a truly overwhelming percentage of votes in all the remaining states (including Pennsylvania) in order to secure the nomination prior to the convention. If for no other reason that this, I think they should both stay in it. It's been a very long time since we've seen a "horse race" like this, and it's pretty exciting. I'd be comfortable with either one in the White House.

Why woudn't she? I'm not a Hillary suporter but I would be very suprised if she won the state (even by the slightest margin) and then quit. Who does that? Not this gal!
I just wanna see her cry again. That was great.

  6. The problem is the majority of the public can't tell the difference between Clinton and Obama's policies.

  7. Is there a difference? I can't see one either. But it's an election year. I can't really "see" anything. Oh, and Hillary won PA. Ya still think she should drop out?

  8. A Clinton or Bush has been in the White House since 1982. I think Hillary should bow out gracefully, support change, and support Obama. Technically, I guess she still has a chance at securing the candidacy; remember, the super delegates have not yet been factored in to her overall total of delegates.

Oh and I think Barack Hussein Obama is the sexiest name ever!
