Tell us: Who’s your candidate?

There was a feature in the Examiner last week about how young voters are changing the face of the political campaign. I won’t reiterate it because I imagine it’s rather obvious to anyone reading this post: social networking sites, blogs, online petitions, and word-of-mouth marketing.
I’m not sure we’d know how to do it any other way.
Good riddance to the days of telemarketing and door-to-door campaigns. Were we so disinterested in previous presidential elections because the candidates were lackluster, or because campaigning was so tedious (as a campaigner) and annoying (as a voter)? MySpace and Facebook were just babies during the 2004 election. In a few short years, they have helped to elevate us from an ignored to a critical demographic.
Many of the delegates will be decided within the next month or so. Some may even be following our lead, according to one study. So, where do you stand right now?

Thanks to Abe Novick for sending me the graphic. Be sure to click through for the full version of the poster — one that is clearly targeting our demographic.

Just read the response from hombre. Did I miss something? Was there anything in it about the candidates?

It looks to me that hombre is trying to say that this post lacks journalistic effort, but he should be reminded it is only a blog post intended to start discussion, not an attempt to win a Pulitzer.

No, I think hombre is right. You can tell the magazine lacks journalistic effort by how most of the original pieces are rants or rambles. Obviously this tabloid (traditional sense of the word) lacks journalistic effort, and has a complete political bias. Just look at the publication. Anytime there is something of worth in it, it is surprising from another source. Look at the staffing. There are more advertising sales people than true journalists.
Two more days till I give up on this little B.

I also like the non-journalistic use of political insinuation and reactionary pandering.

Uhhh, just out of curiosity, isn't a blog supposed to be filled with opinion and bogus facts?
My favorite part of a blog is the discussion. If you don't have idiots misinterpreting the facts, where exactly is there to discuss?
