Kobe Bryant freaks me out

Say what you want about Kobe Bryant, but he’s an incredible basketball player and an incredible athlete. His Los Angeles Lakers lead the defending champions, the San Antonio Spurs, 2-1 in the Western Conference Final. Game 4 is tonight.

Kobe also leads an usual lifestyle during his free time (and I’m not talking about that little incident in Colorado a few years back). Like hanging out with the Jackass crew and jumping over snake-filled pools to dunk on a basketball hoop. Just check this video out.

I showed this to my roommate last night and he cried foul, as many others likely have, saying that what Kobe did was physically impossible and that the video is obviously doctored. I can’t really say if the video is fake or not, mainly because I still can’t get over the fact that someone — let alone the best player in the NBA — would attempt to jump over 140 or so snakes in the first place (then again, I’m petrified of snakes, so maybe I’m the weird one here).

Kobe played coy when asked about the video, saying the video was real while sporting a mischievous grin. I’m pretty sure it’s fake, but there’s no way you could get me to watch that video again to verify. What’s your take?
