Actually Evan, I did take my time, and I still found it to be disgusting and without scientific merit…but thanks for the suggestion.

You’re entitled to your opinion, however misguided and sophomoric. However, regardless of placards, many of the human bodies in the exhibit were contorted and manipulated in a manner designed to shock and disgust, not teach.

That’s a circus sideshow…not a learning opportunity.

It does plenty to advance knowledge YCKTR, but most people don’t bother reading the plethora of placards and signs surrounding every part of the exhibit. If you actually took your time you could learn oodles of things about general anatomy, diseases, etc. etc.

(but for the 24 bucks I’d rather watch Discovery Health or something and consider myself richer)

It’s pretty amazing to see a human’s body in a way you’ve never imagined before. It’s freaky in the sense of how freaky it is that all those parts that make up a human are right in front of your eyes to examine. The people being plastic wasn’t really the freaky part.

See that’s my issue with BodyWorlds - it lacks dignity. Instead of advancing knowledge, it’s simply a freakshow. I doubt those people donated their bodies in the hopes that they would be deemed “freakiest body there.” Or maybe they did…ida know. I don’t think this belongs at the science center.
