Unintentionally funny music videos

I was perusing through YouTube earlier today (not at work, I swear) and I stumbled across Tommy Seebach’s “Apache” video from the 70’s, which got me thinking … what’s the best unintentionally funny music video ever? I’m sure there’s a list out there somewhere, but I wanted to get your take.

Here are my top 3 funniest (but not on purpose) music videos of all time:
3. “It’s Raining Men” by the Weather Girls
2. “Apache” by Tommy Seebach
1. “Party All the Time” by Eddie Murphy

What do you think? Can you top mine?

  1. "Let's Get Physical", by Olivia Newton John should definitely be in the top 5!

  2. "Total Eclipse of the Heart" - trust on this one kids.

  3. Wait - you don't think The Weather Girls were intentionally being funny? Are you serious? It's called camp dear. And yes, it's meant to be funny.

Eddie Murphy - now that's a different story. Although with his penchant for trannie hookers, I'm sure he's hummmed along to "It's raining men" on more than one occasion.

    Just sayin.

    !

  4. "Total Eclipse" starts out as typical overwrought 80's imagery and quickly devolves into several minutes of "WTF?". It's one of those "funny in retrospect" types.

Lionel Richie's "Hello" brings the bad/funny to a whole new level. You can find it on YouTube.

  5. Hell, if we're talking corny 80's imagery, MJ's Billie Jean was pretty out there. Also I like where you're going with this Claude....how about Linel Richie's "Dancing on the Ceiling?"

    !

  6. I think the Michael Bolton videos are great for a laugh. Love songs belted out by a guy with an expired V05 man-perm mullett. Holler at it, Hon!

  7. "Apache" is definitely traumatizing...
