What other large events, such as the Dew Tour, would you like to see come to Baltimore?

  1. How about the AVP Volleyball tour? I know we get some volleyball tours to the Baltimore Beach but no Misty May and crew!

  2. Taste of Chaos would be great. It's a lot like Warped Tour, but it's during the winter months. They ALWAYS skip over the MD/DC/VA area.

  3. what kind of bands are at taste of chaos, GM?

  4. What really needs to happen is a restructuring of how the Preakness is handled, so that people find Baltimore still a viable place to hold it.

I'm not that into horse racing, but it is cool to say we have had the second leg in the Triple Crown since 1873.

I would really love to see a weekend long festival that highlights all the diversity of Baltimore, a la Taste of Chicago. I do enjoy that we do have all of the different events that showcase the cultural diversity, but you have them all over the place and at all different times. I say just one place. And put some of everything that we have to offer there all at once.

  6. i think that's a great idea.

  7. Hey Marissa. Some of the bands from last years TOC: The Used, Emery, My Chemical Romance, Underoath, Avenged Sevenfold...

    Check it out here:

  8. not my cup of tea anymore (i've gotten picky in my old age) but i did see the used on warped tour in 2003 when they headlined with the ataris

  9. It's tough to see a good concert near by. I always have to go to Columbia (not all that far) or DC to see major acts. Kenny Chesney playing at M&T was cool and seems like it could work for others. As much as I love DC, I'd like to see them have to come here every once and a while.

  10. Well put, dmartinb. Taste of Chicago is an amazing event held in an awesome location, Millennium Park. Where would you hold such a grand event in Baltimore? With some creativity, I think that the Inner Harbor could handle it.

  11. I really really want Flugtag to come back. It was the best thing ever.

  12. bmills: i think the harbor would be fantastic place for "taste of baltimore"

    jordan: only if b participates

  13. I'm with Jordan on the Flugtag return. Marissa you're swimming if we do it!

  14. The AFC Championship game would be a great event to have here in Baltimore! Get to work on that Ravens!
