The “b” play of the week

Whether Tiger Woods is able to hold on to his one-stroke lead at the U.S. Open this evening or not (3-9 p.m. on NBC), his gritty performance down the stretch last night was masterful. Trailing by a handful of shots with six holes left to play, Woods connected on two long eagle putts and one-hopped a birdie in from the rough to jump up to the top of the leaderboard at -3.
Those three shots are the plays of the week (but his 70-foot eagle putt on hole 13 was the finest). This guy is incredible, but he’s obviously gimpy right now with that score knee. Will be be able to hold on for the win tonight?

Update: Tiger Woods nailed a birdie putt on the 18th hole to force an 18-hole playoff with Rocco Mediate tomorrow afternoon. Is this guy clutch or what?

I knew he was going to make that putt. That gut is from another planet. I wish Rocco the best, but the chips are definitely stacked against him at this point.
I would love to see the match today. If only I could come down with an illness and excuse myself from work for the afternoon...
