We have four photo contest finalists this week, to honor our nation’s Independence Day this July 4th. Thanks to all who contributed. Since we were a little late getting this post up, voting will be open until 7 p.m. The winning image will run on the pix page Thursday.

I think they all (mine too) went "Memorial Day" and not the "Patriotic" I would associate with July 4th, but then again, those two can be interchangeable.

I think this was your best selection so far, we had a hard time narrowing it down to four choices.

I think so too, Brian. These are all very good.
It was a tough topic that had a lot of room for interpretation.
