  1. I'm taking my sweetie to see Lyle Lovitt at Pier Five. No, not Pier Six, you gotta pay for those seats. Pier Five is where the party is. And I'm staying far away from La Palma. Blinded by the shiney shirts. I give that place 1 year, tops.

  2. I have friends that are getting married in Boston on the 4th, and as a result am flying up to Boston tomorrow morning for a 4th of July party New England-style.

  3. I didn't even know about La Palma - sounds like a complete ****hole. And the joint is like 2 blocks from my house. Great - more drunken douchebags beating one another up and screaming obscenities at 2am. And Tila Tequila as the star of their big opening? Yeah, that sets a really promising tone. I'm with DB...no more than a year tops.

Oh yeah...I'll be spending the fourth with some close friends at my house. They've all been paid in advance to show up and pretend to like me for at least 3 hours.

    !

  4. BTW - you cracked me up with that pier five stuff. LOL.

    !

  5. Oh I just noticed...Palma is located in the old redwood trust building. Considering the history, I give it 6 months tops. They've never been able to fill that space with anything but tweaked out club trash.

    !

  6. I'd like to hear how that La Palma turned out. A capacity of 2,000 with "ultra-VIP" styled clientelle. Are there that many VIP's in Baltimore that would pay $20 to see the interior of the Redwood Trust (granted, the building is amazing)? Someone in DC grossley misunderstood Baltimore nightclub trends when they set up shop here to fleece the $hiny people.
