WNBA (or something) may come to Baltimore

A recommendation for replacing the First Mariner Arena will soon be announced by the Baltimore Development Corporation. It’s been said that Baltimore’s chance of drawing an NBA or NHL team to that arena is minimal at best. However, the Sun reports that Mayor Sheila Dixon has spoken with WNBA representatives about moving a franchise to Baltimore after the new arena is built.
Unfortunately, after watching the video of the interview, I’m not convinced we have any chance of drawing a WNBA team either. See for yourself…

I hate to say it, but there's no chance hockey would make it in Baltimore. It already struggles most of the time down in DC. The NBA might work, but there are definitely more attractive options out there for franchises than Baltimore.
