A new, updated Clue board game

Forget what you knew before, there’s a new Clue in town.
According to the Washington Post, the old board game has been updated by Hasbro to include new weapons (say goodbye to the wrench, lead pipe and revolver) like an ax and poison, first names to the characters as well as biographies about each.
Remember Colonel Mustard? He’s now Jack Mustard, a former football star.
New rooms such as a spa and guest room have also been added.
Way to ruin yet another piece of my childhood. What’s next? Candy Land with the sugar free gum drop castle?
If it ain’t broke, don’t fix it.

They've got plenty of "get over it" cream though. I'd recommend extra-strength as you seem to have a severe case.

oh, you crazy kids.
While Clue is my all-time favorite board game of all time, I don't care about the changes too much.
Why?
Well, look at all the licensed versions they've done. Look at the Monopoly line.
If there's any indicator there, in probably less than 10 years we'll see a "classic" "commemorative" or "Special edition" come out. Or all three. We'll get deluxe versions with solid wood game board for $200. It's all business.
