Constantly craving a new way to interpret songs, k.d.lang has just released her first album of original songs in eight years. She also will head to Bethesda and the Music Center at Strathmore on Oct. 30.

Taking leaps in her career, Jenny Lewis has moved from child actress (“The Wizard,” “Troop Beverly Hills”) to band member in Rilo Kiley. With her second solo album, Acid Tongue, Lewis gives new life to original folk anthems.
