Some closer looks at the Jolie-Pitt clan
Ron Howard thinks Angelina Jolie — star and mother of six — is just “great.”
According to okmagazine.com, Howard, who produced Jolie’s newest film “Changeling,” said, “As powerful and glamorous a person as she is, she was 100 percent authentic and true.”
The Hollywood veteran said of Jolie, the busy mother, “For anybody who takes on that task and decides to deal with it responsibly, it means that there’s not much time for anything else,” Howard said. “You can love your family and you can love your work, and that had better be the extent of it because they’re both huge undertakings.”
Partner Brad Pitt recently appeared on “The Oprah Winfrey Show” and shared about his ever-growing family’s funnier side.
On the episode that airs today, Pitt said of daughter Shiloh, “She only wants to be called John. John or Peter. So it’s a Peter Pan thing. So we’ve got to call her John. [I’ll say] ‘Shi, do you want…’ [she’ll say] ‘John. I’m John.’ And then I’ll say, ‘John, would you like some orange juice?’ and she goes, ‘No!’ So, you know, it’s just that kind of stuff that’s cute to parents, and it’s probably really obnoxious to other people.”
He told Winfrey that his better-half is the boss when it comes to their day-to-day routine.
“It’s like a half-hour just to get everyone buckled in and make sure they’ve got their snacks,” he said. “Z.Z. [Zahara] has got a blanket and Shiloh’s got her silky. Angie’s militant about it. She’s right on top of it. Thank God, because I’m always forgetting something.” {MARISSA RICHARDSON, B}
Scarjo isn’t fazed by Lohan
Scarlett Johansson says she has no idea why Lindsay Lohan drank the Hateorade.
“I really don’t know that person. I only met her, like, three times,” she told Allure.
Lohan is reported to have scrawled a vulgar comment about Johansson on a New York bathroom stall over 2 years ago.
“I don’t know what the motivation was behind that. I remember it was something really vulgar — I mean, shockingly so, like, ‘Whoa, what, who are you?’’ she said.
But singer Katy Perry apparently likes Johansson. She penned her hit “I Kissed a Girl” about the actress.
“I had no idea [about the song]; I should get a cut!” she said. {CHICAGO TRIBUNE}
‘Bruno’ strikes again on set of ‘Medium’
Even a make-believe psychic couldn’t spot the scam when an actor disrupted a scene for “Medium” involving Patricia Arquette, who stars in the NBC drama.
After the unruly extra was ejected by security, the truth came out: He was chameleonic comic prankster Sacha Baron Cohen in his identity as outrageous fashion reporter Bruno.
It was unclear how Cohen gained entry to the set, and whether he was secretly filming his performance for his own use, according to Entertainment Weekly, which first reported the incident. {AP}
McCready says she’s ‘not proud’ of affair
Country singer Mindy McCready claims she broke off her relationship with Roger Clemens when the former baseball star wouldn’t marry her, according to an interview by “Inside Edition.”
McCready said she met Clemens at 16 in a karaoke bar. Her relationship with Clemens, which lasted for a decade, didn’t turn sexual until several years later.
“Carrying on a relationship with him is not something I’m proud of,” she said.
Clemens denied having an affair with a 15-year-old but didn’t address whether he had a romance with McCready. He said, “I have made mistakes in my personal life for which I am sorry.” {AP}
