Paul McCartney is singing again with The Fireman. The project is a pairing of the former Beatle and musician and Chinese Democracy producer Youth. This third album, Electric Arguments, is the first to feature vocals.

Good Old War has a great turn-around time. The Philadelphia trio met last December and already have out their first release. Only Way to Be Alone features three-part harmonies that add warmth to the sparse instrumentation.

Either become a novelist or write rock music. On Airborne Toxic Event’s self-titled debut, you can tell Mikel Jollett made the right choice and picked an unbelievably talented band to back him up. It’s chamber pop meets bouncy rock ‘n’ roll with the soul of a poet.
