Beware Of Stampeding Shoppers

I’ve been thinking about what people are thankful for at this time of year.  Family?  Friends?  A job?  Health?  I’m thankful for none of those things. I am thankful that I was not in a Long Island, NY Walmart on Black Friday when at 5 AM ,  the doors opened and a herd of lunatic shoppers stampeded towards the merchandise and mowed down a worker in the process.  He was trampled to death.  Reports say some shoppers stepped over him as he gasped for air while others ignored announcements that the store was closing because a man had just died.  I realize the economy sucks right now and people are looking for bargains but for God’s sake,  manslaughter is taking things too far.  I’m not joking.  People have really lost it.  They are out of their minds.  Who’s going to help stimulate the economy if you might get killed in the process?

  1. Black Friday is a out of hand. Come on, retailers, you know you can space the sales out over a few weeks and probably still rake in your good fortune. Maybe a pre Black Friday sale - a beat the hell day madness sale.

And, seriously, the people who are so sick they'd push and shove their way to a deal. Saddest thing is I'll probably be able to find the flat screen TV I want for only 50 bucks more than what it was on Black Friday.
