From today’s b, the paper
It was a g-l-a-m-o-r-o-u-s wedding for Black Eyed Peas lady lump Fergie and her longtime boyfriend, “Transformers” actor Josh Duhamel. The two got hitched Saturday at a private ceremony in Malibu, Calif. What went down:
The dress: Fergie (real name: Stacy Ferguson), 33, wore a fitted, white ruched, corseted wedding gown with a mesh tulle overlay, spaghetti straps and a Dolce & Gabbana-designed long train, according to usmagazine.com. D&G also designed her veil.
The groom: Duhamel, 36, also wore D&G. So did the bridesmaids (in black dresses) and groomsmen (black suits, white ties). We’re checking on whether D&G also served as cater waiters.
The rings: Usmagazine.com reports the two exchanged H. Stern rings. A diamond wedding band was designed to match Fergie’s round, 4-carat brilliant cut diamond engagement ring. Duhamel’s ring was made of 18K white gold with a brush finish.
Awwww?: The pair has been dating since 2004, when Duhamel told In Style that she was his celeb crush. He popped the question in late 2006, usmagazine.com reports.
The guest list: Celeb witnesses included will.i.am, Kate Hudson, Kid Rock (?) and new parents Jerry O’Connell and wife Rebecca Romijn, In Touch reports.
The spot: The wedding location, Church Estate Vineyards, boasts on its Web site that it is “like Heaven on Earth: a place where time stops and world-class luxury awaits.” So, nice, then? {Jordan Bartel, b}
And we really thought these two would last…
Amy Winehouse’s husband, Blake Fielder-Civil, has told his lawyer to begin divorce proceedings against the singer, dailymail.co.uk reports. Fielder-Civil is reportedly upset over pictures of Winehouse on vacation with another man in the Caribbean. The pair were married in May 2007. In December, Fielder-Civil was sent back to jail — where he remains — after failing a drug test.
dexter’s hall marries TV sister
“Dexter” co-stars Michael C. Hall and Jennifer Carpenter, who play siblings on the hit Showtime serial killer saga, eloped in California on New Year’s Eve, Us Magazine reports. The pair have been quietly dating for more than a year.
the very steep rise of vinyl
Vinyl sales soared 89 percent in 2008, compared with 2007, rollingstone.com reports. The leap can be attributed to reissuing of Beatles albums as well as Radiohead’s In Rainbows, last year’s biggest vinyl seller.
