Finally inside!

It’s not too busy inside yet.

8:48 p.m.
And finally I’m in. Security was way more efficient than the airport. They checked our bags and electronics, frisked us with an electronic wand, took our coats and sent us on our way. The venue is BEAUTIFUL and right now we’re rocking out to Stevie Wonder.

8:33 p.m.
The line is wrapped all the way around the escalator now, but I just heard cheering and we’re starting to creep forward. With any luck, my next update will be inside.

8:27 p.m.
We’re still outside in the freezing cold almost a half hour after the doors were supposed to open. Another woman in line was smart and wore flats. She just pulled out her fancy shoes (Manolo Blahniks) and is contemplating whether or not to put them on yet.
