In-the-office inauguration watching

11:53: All of the ladies in the office just lost it a little as Obama processed down towards the podium. I had some extra Baltimore pride seeing Rep. Elijah Cummings and Nancy Pelosi up there with all the other important people. I felt a little badly for Rick Warren when he was introduced and clearly not eagerly cheered on.

On another side note, we don’t have to feel badly sitting in the break room anymore! Our boss called over and told us to take the hour to watch the inauguration because in her words: “This is history and will
never happen again.”

11:46 a.m.: We’re all huddled in the break room watching the inauguration now. One of my co-workers remarked that she prefers watching it on TV because that way you get to see the motorcade and all of the other miscellaneous commentary. The crowds on TV look like it’s impossible to see anything if you’re there.
