10 spot: Fourth of July fireworks, Wilco’s latest and more

Inner Harbor fireworks burst in the sky over Baltimore {thanks, The Baltimore Sun}
Inner Harbor fireworks burst in the sky over Baltimore {thanks, The Baltimore Sun}

1. Inner Harbor fireworks
I mean, duh. What’s a Fourth of July without an over-the-top fireworks show? Start the day at Harborplace around noon for street performers and live music. Fireworks start a 9:30 p.m., and will be accompanied by Electric Brigade, the U.S. Naval Academy’s “musical ambassadors to the nation.” Enjoy the show down at the Harbor or from the view of a rooftop deck around the city. WESLEY CASE, B

2. ‘Dance Your Ass Off’
Who wouldn’t want to watch a bunch of fat people dance themselves into shape? That’s right. No one. Series premiere 10 p.m. Monday, Oxygen. MATT VENSEL, B

3. Wilco (the album)
Despite the Spaceballs”-esque name (“Spaceballs” the lunchbox, “Spaceballs” the flamethrower), I’ll listen to anything Wilco comes out with. Just don’t come out with “Wilco (the TV show)” next. OK, boys? Drops Tuesday. MARISSA RICHARDSON, B

4. True-Blood.net
The “original fansite” for HBO’s addictive vampire series has everything a “Blood” fanatic could want: episode spoilers, tons of photos, giveaways, arcane trivia (the Brooklyn Museum has identified that mysterious statue at Maryann’s house) and exclusive interviews with the cast and crew. Bloody awesome! JORDAN BARTEL, B

5. ‘My Food My Poop’
Wherever the hell this exhibit came from, it’s worthy of a stop by the Contemporary Museum in Mount Vernon. 100 W. Centre St. Through Aug. 16. contemporary.org. ALISIA KRASTEL, B

6. Flicks from the Hill, ‘Raiders of the Lost Ark’
No Shia, no aliens, no nuked fridges — “Raiders of the Lost Ark” is an Indiana Jones adventure the way an Indiana Jones adventure should be. See the 1981 classic for free and outside as the American Visionary Art Museum kicks off its summer film series. 9 p.m. Thursday, 800 Key Highway, Federal Hill. ADAM SAPIRO, B

7. ‘Marvel vs. Capcom 2’
The great thing about this game is its pick-up-and-play accessibility. It’s a fun classic that should be on any gamer’s game system hard drive. Available for download on PS3 and Xbox360 on Wednesday. TIM WONG, B

8. WTMD First Thursdays
Various circumstances prevented the first two First Thursday concerts this year, so our desire to catch it this week is triple its usual intensity. Irish folk duo Guggenheim Grotto and the Annapolis acoustic group Pressing Strings perform at 5:30 p.m. at West Mount Vernon Park. wtmd.org. ANNE TALLENT, b

9. ‘Inglorious Basterds’ trailer
The just-unveiled, two-minute trailer is the perfect look at Quentin Tarantino’s new WWII mindf—. Brad Pitt, in his slack-jawed accent, is out to hunt Nazis, Eli Roth wields a soon-to-be bloody wooden bat, Diane Kruger smolders and Hitler yells in Pitt’s face. You have to see this to believe it. fandango.com. JORDAN BARTEL, B

10. African American Heritage Festival
The eighth incarnation of one of the city’s summer biggies features lots of good food, art for sale, local performances and sets by national acts, including Teena Marie, En Vogue and Anita Baker (separate admission). Friday-Sunday. M&T Bank Stadium, lots A and C. $5. aahf.net. JORDAN BARTEL, B
