10 spot: ‘Watchmen’ on DVD, Wye Oak CD release and more

“Watchmen” fight back on DVD {thanks, Warner Bros.}
“Watchmen” fight back on DVD {thanks, Warner Bros.}

1. ‘Watchmen’ on DVD
In theaters, Watchmen introduced many, and brought a lot of fanboys back to, a dark and yet colorful imagining of America in the 1980s — with superheroes of course. Take the experience home Tuesday. TIM WONG, B

2. Exboyfriendjewelry.com
You know after you’ve broken up with someone and you have a ton of mementos from your now tarnished relationship that you just want to get rid of at all costs? Why not make a little money off of it? This is a great way to sell all the things you can’t stand the sight of anymore while shopping for (mostly) cheap jewelry. MARISSA RICHARDSON, B

3. BBQ Across America Tour
… Aka the maturation of emo. Ace Enders and Person L’s Kenny Vasoli have been playing (and progressing) their brands of pop-punk for years now. Check out their sets (and more) at Sonar Friday. And about that title? They’re grilling with fans before the show, so get there early (just bring the food). $12 in advance, $15 day of. 407 E. Saratoga St. WESLEY CASE, B

4. ‘Torchwood: Children of Earth’
This “Doctor Who” spin-off series has been one of my favorite shows on BBC America of the past few years. I wish this five-episode miniseries would have been more like a full-fledged third season. Check out the premiere at 10 tonight. TIM WONG, B

5. Kenilworth Farmers’ Market
I like salads. And meats. Cheeses, too. Oh, and bread. Bread is always good. A great place to find all of these delicious — and locally grown — foods is the Kenilworth Farmers’ Market. Shops at Kenilworth, 800 Kenilworth Drive, Towson. 3:30-6:30 p.m. Tuesday. AUBREY FORNWALT, B

6. ‘Dating in the Dark’
Literally. People meet perspective lovers in pitch-black rooms. Sure, this may be god-awful, and by “may,” I mean “most definitely will be.” But that’s part of the fun, right? Series premiere 10 p.m. Monday, ABC. JORDAN BARTEL, B

7. Sugar Ray, ‘Music for Cougars’
I wonder if Sugar Ray is talking about the four-legged creature. But then again, I don’t think this album is targeted towards zoologists looking to entertain animals with pop music. At any rate, the album comes out Tuesday. AUBREY FORNWALT, B

8. Wye Oak
Baltimore’s awesome indie duo releases its album, The Knot, on Merge Records on Tuesday. To celebrate the CD release, the band performs at 9 p.m. Tuesday at The Ottobar. $8. 2549 N. Howard St., Charles Village. BRIAN KRISTA, B

9. BSO, ‘The Music of John Williams’
Let’s be honest. My cheap ass isn’t going to pay money to go see this. But trust me, the thought of the Baltimore Symphony Orchestra playing the theme from “Jurassic Park” is awfully tempting. 8 p.m. Saturday. Oregon Ridge Park, 13401 Beaver Dam Road, Cockeysville. $9-$18. MATT VENSEL, B

10. Fluid Movement
This year, Baltimore’s water ballet troupe travels to Liechtenstein, Peru and beyond from the comfort of the pool, with “Strange Customs: The Flurry Family Odyssey.” 5 and 7 p.m. Saturday and Sunday, Riverside Park, Federal Hill. $10. fluidmovement.org. ANNE TALLENT, B
