Inner Harbor celebration July 4
Everyone and their grandma will be flocking to the Inner Harbor to get a view of the Independence Day fireworks. They have good reason — it’s spectacular. Music by Reverb from 4:30-6:30 p.m. Music by Electric Brigade starts at 8 p.m. and plays through the fireworks display. Fireworks 9:30 p.m.
The July 4th Pier Party at the National Aquarium
This party is one way to bypass the droves of people, but buffer zones come with a price. Adults: $20 members, $40 non-members. Children, ages 3-11: $15 members, $25 non-members. Reservations are required. 410.727.3474
USS Constellation Museum’s Independence Day picnic July 4
Overlook the water and the crowds while enjoying music, a tour of the ship and cannon firings during the USS Constellation Museum’s picnic. Begins at 7 p.m. Adults $65, kids 5-17 $25, and free for children under 5. Reservations required. constellation.org/july4th.html
Baltimore Museum of Industry July 4
The Inner Harbor is going to be packed tighter than a tube sock in Brüno’s G-string, but Baltimore Museum of Industry provides a spot to watch fireworks with a fraction of the audience. Baltimore Spirit Cruise July 4
Leave the terra firma behind and jump on Baltimore Spirit Cruises with a special someone for a July Fourth cruise. Booze isn’t included, but you can dive into the buffet and dance all night. Washington’s National
Independence Day Parade July 4
The thought of being in the nation’s capital for July Fourth makes heading to Washington a tempting road trip. The Independence Day Parade offers displays from the nation’s armed forces, marching bands and elaborate floats. Parade starts at 11:45 a.m. at Constitution and 7th and goes to 17th Street. july4thparade.com
A Capitol Fourth concert July 4
The National Symphony Orchestra teams up with the Choral Arts Society of Washington to play a medley of patriotic pieces, with accompanying performances by Barry Manilow, Aretha Franklin, Natasha Bedingfield and more for the Capitol Fourth Concert. Begins at 8 p.m. Free. pbs.org/capitolfourth
National Mall July 4
What could be more patriotic than watching fireworks light up the sky over the Washington Monument? Not much. Get your patriotic fix at the National Mall by joining the thousands of people who flock to Washington for the Fourth. Fireworks are launched at 9:15 p.m. from the Lincoln Memorial Reflecting Pool and illuminate the Washington Monument.

Towson parade and fireworks July 4
The Fourth of July Parade in Towson celebrates its 75th anniversary this year. The first band strikes up the tune and 150 or so bicyclists start the celebration at the corner of Bosley Avenue and Towsontown Boulevard at 10:30 a.m. Fireworks after dusk. Rain or shine.
Oregon Ridge spectacular July 3-4
Lean back and relax at Oregon Ridge Park while listening to Baltimore Symphony Orchestra and watching the fireworks display. The Cockeysville Park will host the “Star-Spangled Spectacular” July 3-4. Gates open at 5 p.m. Concert begins at 8 p.m. $18 in advance, $20 at the door. bsomusic.org.
Westminster Independence Day celebration July 4
The Carroll County Farm Museum provides an escape from the hustle and bustle, while keeping the July Fourth flavor. The Independence Day celebration begins at 3 p.m., and fireworks start around 9:30 p.m. with concerts, games and food vending throughout the day. Parking is $6. carrollcountytourism.org/events.
Havre de Grace Independence Celebration July 3- 5
Well after all the fireworks have settled on July Fourth, there’s still another celebration to attend on July 5. Havre de Grace’s Independence Day celebrations include a carnival through Friday at Tydings Park. On Sunday, there’s a parade at 2 p.m., concert at 7 p.m. and fireworks at 9:15 p.m. at the park. hdgtourism.com
