Sports fans love to talk about sports — especially here in Baltimore — so we’d like to give our readers with sports-savvy an opportunity to rant and rave about what’s going on in the world of sports, both locally and nationally. Each weekday, we’ll pose a new question for you to discuss at the water cooler. Here’s your chance to be an armchair quarterback. Now speak up, play nice and let us know what you think.
Today’s topic at the water cooler:
What bold second-half predictions are you willing to make for the last-place Orioles?

Pain. I was going to say they won't be quite as horrible down the stretch as they've been in recent years, but then I remembered the remaining schedule is absolutely brutal. Only 6 series are against non-contending teams. But watching Wieters and Reimold continue to develop, plus maybe seeing Tillman come up will be reason enough to stay interested.

Venting....The Orioles fan base is one of The Majors best. I live in Baltimore for many years and i will like to see a contender. I feel that when you are competing with Boston and NY. It will be hard to win unless they switch to the NL. The Orioles is in need of pitching and better management. If they become a winner. Ticket will be hard to come by and it will put an much extra financial boost to the city. The New Uniform with the name baltimore is very nice. Will get one.
