Ravens get pumped for the Steelers {thanks, The Baltimore Sun}
1. Ravens v. Steelers
After dropping all three games against their bitter AFC North rivals a year ago, the Ravens finally get a chance to get some payback against the Steelers. Fans across America will be watching this ‘Sunday Night Football’ showdown, and you should be, too. 8:20 p.m. Sunday, M&T Bank Stadium. MATT VENSEL, B
2. Bazaart
For gifts that are unique, handmade and local — and a shopping experience that’s the antidote to the big-box store — this is it. Preview party, 5:30-8 p.m. Friday, $20. Sale, 10 a.m.-5 p.m. Saturday, free. American Visionary Art Museum, 800 Key Highway, Federal Hill. ANNE TALLENT, B
3. ‘Ninja Assassin’
Yeah I know, how stereotypical — one of the Asians in the newsroom picks out a martial arts movie. Let me be clear, the action in this movie looks sick and the stylized camera work seen in the movie’s trailers totally gets me in the mood for some good ass-kickery. Be ready to catch a ninja star with your face this Wednesday. TIM WONG, B
4. Lady Gaga, The Fame Monster
I can’t get enough of her crazy shtick. The Fame Monster is a re-release of her insanely good (and sometimes just insane) debut album, with some new songs and twists. And in true Gaga fashion, the cover is captivating … if not a little weird. Drops Tuesday. MARISSA RICHARDSON, B
5. Baltimore Improv Group
If you need some comic relief after a week of holiday madness check out the Baltimore Improv Group at Creative Alliance. You’ll get a chuckle or a hundred and a break from your “favorite” aunt. 3134 Eastern Ave., Highlandtown. 8 p.m. Saturday. $12. creativealliance.org. ALISIA KRASTEL, B
6. Black Friday midnight opening
Start your Black Friday shopping while it’s pitch black out (and you’re still digesting your turkey). The Arundel Mills Mall in Hanover is opening at midnight Thanksgiving for 22 straight hours of gift-buying opportunities. Just as the Pilgrims intended. ADAM SAPIRO, B
7. Maryland Metal & Hardcore Festival
Put on your dancing shoes. The hardcore and metal communities continue to thrive, thanks to a commitment to festivals around the country. Luckily, Sonar has Maryland covered. Also, having face-melting metal riffs and Sasquatch-sized breakdowns doesn’t hurt. Throwdown and The Faceless headline the two day event. $16 or $30 for two-day pass. 407 E. Saratoga St., downtown. WESLEY CASE, B
8. Thanksgiving dinner at Petit Louis
Maybe this year isn’t the year to do Thanksgiving at home. Maybe it’s time for a change. Why not try Petit Louis Thanksgiving dinner? For $39, you get chestnut soup with wild mushrooms, roasted turkey with greens and cranberry relish and an apple and cranberry dessert. Sounds delicious to me. And if you want the accompanying wines, tack on $16. Bonus: no dishes to wash. 4800 Roland Avenue, Roland Park. AUBREY FORNWALT, B
9. ABBA tribute at the BSO
Sure, you could see musical “Mamma Mia!” at the Hippodrome. But (sorry, Hippodrome) we’re more down with ABBA tribute band Waterloo. We’re prepping for a “Take a Chance on Me” sing-along. Plus, two original ABBA musicians are on board. They aren’t the No. 1 ABBA tribute band for nothin’. 8 p.m. Friday and Saturday, 3 p.m. Sunday. Meyerhoff Symphony Hall, 1212 Cathedral St., Mount Vernon. $34-$70. bsomusic.org. jordan bartel, B
10. ‘The Road’
Based on the Pulitzer Prize-winning novel of the same name by Cormac McCarthy (author of “No Country For Old Men”), the movie is a post-apocalyptic survival tale of a man and his son. This may be the first time I can say I read the book before the seeing the movie, I hope it doesn’t disappoint. In theaters Wednesday. BRIAN KRISTA, B
