Late pass: ‘SNL’s’ Andy Samberg can’t tell Reba from Kenan

This season of “Saturday Night Live” has been inconsistent, with unprepared hosts (we see you, January Jones) and flat sketches. Last weekend featured a stronger effort (with very game host Joseph Gordon-Levitt) and a digital short worth a good laugh. Vulture argues Kenan Thompson is this season’s MVP, and with roles like this, we have to consider him the most improved cast member (at the very least). Samberg is Samberg — he continues to make us wonder how easy it is to write these doofy yet hilarious hip-hop songs. We say keep ‘em coming.

I'd like to be in ANY meeting where Samberg speaks.. 99% of the time his stuff is quality.. That Lonely Island Cd is one of the funniest CDs in a long time.punched while eating is still one of the best Digital Shorts though..

Kristen Wiig was my favorite cast member last season, and she remains unstoppable. However, I agree Kenan has practically transformed -- he brings it this year. Also, either Andy Samberg is growing out of the aura that declares, "I'm cooler than everyone else in this room," or else I've simply gotten used to it.
