DRESS UP

“When I first started out, I was inspired by somebody like Joan Jett and Patti Smith,” Wennerstrom says. “I think I always wanted to wear jeans and shirt. But I have fun wearing dresses and skirts, and I just started to feel like it’s fun to be a woman. So I dress up a little more these days … put a little makeup on here and there.”

LONDON CALLING
“We did four dates in London. It was great,” Wennerstrom says. “We got invited to [the annual music festival] All Tomorrow’s Parties, which The Breeders had hosted. They’re from my hometown, so that was great. [Pixies and Breeders bassist] Kim Deal is one of my heroes.”
