Sports fans love to talk about sports — especially here in Baltimore — so we’d like to give our readers with sports-savvy an opportunity to rant and rave about what’s going on in the world of sports, both locally and nationally. Each weekday, we’ll pose a new question for you to discuss at the water cooler. Here’s your chance to be an armchair quarterback. Now speak up, play nice and let us know what you think.

Today’s topic at the water cooler:
Who do you got Sunday: the Ravens or the Steelers?

  1. Ravens pick up Chris McAlister and he shuts down Hines Ward and the Ravens ride the victory wave to a 24-21 victory..in front of alot of Steeler Crybabies!

  2. I'm pretty sure the only thing CMac is capable of shutting down these days is Scores.

  3. [rimshot] Good one.

People need to understand that there's a reason McAlister wasn't on the Ravens (or any other team) at the start of this season, and it ain't just his attitude.

  4. By law, I can not support a PA team

  5. It's not about who you're supporting; it's who you think will win.

  6. Here's Brian's pick: Ravens 21, Steelers 17
"It’s what the Ravens have been preparing for all season long."

  7. I quietly picked the Ravens to win last month, mainly because Big Ben and Troy Polamalu were out and the game was in Baltimore. Of course I got no praise for that.

Oh well, that's how the job goes. And I also know I'm going to get hammered for picking Pittsburgh to win Sunday, but I just think stopping the Steelers' passing attack with this decimated secondary will be a tall task for the Ravens no matter where the game is played. Alas, it's in Pittsburgh, so it's going to take a monumental effort for the Ravens to win this one.

That being said, I wouldn't be surprised if the Ravens won. I would actually be quite pleased to see them come out with [cliche alert] the hearts of champions and finally prove they're a playoff team. I took note of their promise in training camp and I have said time and time again that this is a championship-caliber team when it plays to its potential.

Whether I'm wrong or right, we're going to learn a lot about both of these teams on Sunday.

    Steelers 27, Ravens 25

  8. down by 2, with 10sec. to go, mike tomlin goes for it on fourth & goal from the 9 yard line instead of kicking game winning field goal. BAL 23 PIT 21

  9. Uh, why wouldn't he just kick the field goal if the Steelers were down by two points? That would never happen.

  10. why would he onside kick up by 2 with 3min. left against the packers? But he did.
