What’s the best dessert Charm City has to offer? Nominate now!

Our Ultimate Baltimore Wings contest was a smash! Now, we’re back to choose the Ultimate Baltimore (city or county) Dessert. Like last time, we need your help, as we’re leaving the nomination process up to you. So in the comments (or e-mail contests@bthesite.com), leave the name of the dessert and restaurant that serves your favorite dessert.

Remember, voting doesn’t start until Feb. 15 — this is merely a pool to make sure your favorite dessert is included. So please, nominate away!

  1. whatever is in that picture looks amazing.
and i wish it was in baltimore, but one of the best desserts i ever had was in disney world at an "irish" pub — bread pudding.
i don't even like bread pudding. it was incredible

  2. BANANA PUDDING....from the ROOST on REISTERTOWN rd. THEY use real bananas and vanilla wafers and they bake it. IT taste like your GRANNY made it.

  3. Cafe Latte'Da in Fells Point has fresh baked HOMEMADE cookies, cupcakes, pies, sticky buns and other desserts every day. Delicious!!!

  4. but which ONE is your favorite?

  5. Red velvet cupcakes...with cream cheese icing.

  6. The Poplar Inn in Dundalk has homemade Jewish Apple Cake that is crazy delicious!

Be sure to order it warm with ice cream on top!

  7. Second to Sex (STS) at Never on Sunday in Charles Village. I swear I'd pay $30 per slice if that's what they wanted to charge!

  8. The Chocolate Chip Cookie Sundae at ESPN Zone! Vanilla ice cream drizzled with hot fudge and caramel melts atop a warm chocolate chip cookie. It's a little piece of heaven.

  9. I love the Krispy Kreme Bread Pudding at Ale Mary's in Fells Point - especially a la mode!! Truly sinful and delicious.

  10. Another vote for Audrey's homemade jewish apple cake at the Poplar Inn.

  11. Have you all ever tried my Trailer Park cake? Yeah...I have NOT either. I wonder if its too late to make up a cake and submit it now? Nah, I hate baking...

  12. are you one of those people who talk just to hear their own voice?

  13. tres leches cake at arcos, ANY flavor gelato from pitango!

  14. Crème Brule from The Prime Rib. Sooo good!

  15. Macaroons from Atwaters Bakery in Belvedere Market

  16. Cannoli from Vaccaro's in Little Italy. Amazing!

  17. Tim Lumber's Trailer Park restaurant. Its a cozy place inside a luxury Trailer park community. They serve Old Crow whiskey with a wide variety of cakes from Mud Tire cake to The Muffler cake. Its a good bargain really $$$$$$!!

  18. Vanilla Panna Cotta from Cinghiale Hands down.

  19. Coconut cake or any of the homemade cakes from Clementine on Harford Rd. Yummy!

  20. IN a rare move...YAKNOWMAY would like to retract his offering to the GODS. UPON further review THE ROOST on REISTERSTOWN RD. is under new management, a management team that has no business selling SOUL FOOD. THEIR food is overpriced and the owners have no real respect for the CULTURE of which they serve, and i can not endorse this establishment comfortably so i wont. PLEASE DO NOT EAT AT THE ROOST...THANK YOU

  21. THE BANANA FOSTER....from RED LOBSTER....its a banana cheesecake with a praline wafer wedged in the center and drizzled with hot caramel....its decadence gone wild. ITS culinary nirvana.

  22. Ribs at Andy Nelson's BBQ.

  23. i can't believe i had forgotten about dirt from golden west in hampden.
and i just discovered the magic that are their cupcakes.
banana cake with cream cheese icing?
    must.have.now.

  24. Bill's Cookie Monster at Bill Bateman's Bistro. Similar to ESPN Zone's Chocolate Chip Cookie Sundae, it boasts a large double chocolate cookie served in a very warm skillet, and topped with vanilla ice cream, chocolate sauce, and whipped cream. Decadent.

  25. The Legendary Hot Chocolate Cake from Morton's The Steakhouse in Baltimore --- it's sooooo good. I even have dreams about it!

  26. I am going to vote for Carrabba's "Chocolate Dream." Also known as, "Sogno di Cioccolata." Even the description written up on the menu doesn't give this dessert justice. "A rich fudge brownie brushed with
Kahlua, crowned with chocolate mousse, whipped cream and chocolate sauce." It is delicious and oh so wonderful! The chocolate sauce all on its own is amazing...not just your regular Hershey's, but something homemade, rich, and perfectly smooth and delicious!

  27. Baklava at Kavkaz Kebab in Owings Mills. The Baklava is not your traditional gooey Greek version but harder and nuttier. It was layers upon layers of honey, almonds and pistachios- layers of heaven!!!

  28. Gotta go with the Morton's Hot Chocolate cake. Lots of good memories, late night at the bar. Hot gooey Chocolate, cold Vanilla ice cream. Best way to end a night out! Did I mention a glass of port on the side?

  29. I love the hot brownie sundae at the Poplar Inn in Dundalk. Warm homemade brownies topped with ice cream and slathered in hot fudge and whipped cream...basically all of my favorite food groups!

  30. Cafe Latte'da has the ultimate in comfort food, fill your face and forget the calories...Bread Pudding! Absolutely AMAZING!

  31. I agree with bcma9tl...but...I have to admit, their almond croissants are my passion...Cafe Latte'da ROCKS! Desserts are freshly baked daily, and just BEG to be eaten!

  32. I second the Jewish Apple Cake at the Poplar Inn...really good and I could eat the whole thing in one sitting!

  33. The Jewish Apple Cake is very good but>>>I think the Rice Pudding is excellent. It's my favorite dessert and the only one that eat at the Poplar Inn. Have tried it at other restaurants but no comparison!!
