I graduated from Towson University in May 2007 with a degree in English. Thus the answer to the “Avenue Q” song, “What Do You Do With a BA in English?” You work for a newspaper. It’s still a little strange to tell people what I do, mostly because it’s what I’ve always wanted to do but never actually thought would happen. It’s like when you’re 11 and tell everyone you’re going to be a ballerina or one of the Thundercats. Except, when I was 11, I told everyone I was going to be a writer and marry Jonathan Taylor Thomas. At least one of those came true. When I’m not wrangling (UGC or cattle), I’m going to shows and making mix CDs, playing board games with my friends or exploring the city. You’d be surprised what you can find when you take a day to walk around a neighborhood. E-mail me at marissa(at)bthesite.com.
