Scarves are always a simple way to add that finishing touch to any look when it’s a little nippy out. This example from Armani Exchange features a two-toned plaid pattern and fun-to-play-with fringe detail.

Sports fans love to talk about sports — especially here in Baltimore — so we’d like to give our readers with sports-savvy an opportunity to rant and rave about what’s going on in the world of sports, both locally and nationally. Each weekday, we’ll pose a new question for you to discuss at the water cooler. Here’s your chance to be an armchair quarterback. Now speak up, play nice and let us know what you think.
Today’s topic at the water cooler:
Who do you want to see play in the NCAA football national championship game?

•••• SPOILERS AHEAD ••••
Has “Gossip Girl” jumped the shark?
We should have seen it coming — Hilary Duff was making her debut, a too-substantial Tyra Banks cameo, the tired plot of Blair attempting to turn New York University into a private high school she can terrorize. The appeal of “Gossip Girl” has never been its plotlines (Which principal characters can hook up next? How can a simple misunderstanding snowball into a blowout fight?), but rather its aesthetics — beautiful people, impeccable styling, decent indie rock soundtrack, occasionally biting dialog.
Not last night.

The level of violence all over the United States on a daily basis is often what leads local newscasts and sits at the top of newspapers.
In Baltimore, many residents already know of such violence intimately, either having been the victim of a crime or knowing a victim.
For many, the most recent reminder of violence at the hands of young people is the news of the tragic beating death of Chicago high school student Derrion Albert.
Graphic video footage and photos of the attack on Albert have been circulating all over the Internet.
